Inspection, Maintenance and Repair Fire Safety Equipment & Suppression Systems

Commercial Fire Safety Equipment must be Installed, Inspected, Maintained and Repaired in accordance with B.C. Fire Code (Office of the Fire Commissioner of British Columbia), Fire Insurance Policies and Manufacturer requirements. Proper Inspection of Computer Rooms, Commercial Kitchens, Clean Rooms, Paint Booths, Vehicle and Marine shops require semi annual inspections of their fire suppression systems. Where inspection of Fire Alarm Systems, Emergency Light Units, Hand Portable Fire Extinguishers, Back flow Preventer Testing and Water based sprinkler systems are require service and testing annually.

 

Fire Safety Planning

Preparation of Fire Safety Plan Manuals, outlining emergency procedures to be used in case of a fire or other emergency. Guidelines for the maintenance, testing and operations of the life safety systems incorporated into the building as required and approved by the local fire authority. Including Evacuation plans mounted in single layer plexiglass, showing the type and location of the building’s emergency equipment exit paths and instructions to occupants ‘IN CASE OF EMERGENCY’ as required and approved by the local fire authority. “Fire safety plan is a combination of manual with plaques (see sample) mounted on walls in key areas through out the building.”
